Bricking Continues. Ground Floor almost completely bricked.

Bricking is proceeding briskly. Almost all the entire ground floor has been bricked including the little finishing touches.

yay!

garage complete.

portico and facade windows bricked and ready for rendering.
(in retrospect, we should have enlarged the portico)
lounge room windows finished
they finish the window sill with slanting bricks
view of the facade sideways from the garage

east side
the laundry sliding door has been bricked
the rear bricked except for the foot of the rear sliding door.
south west side
this is the house next door on the western side. i kind of like his big al fresco area but we opted for a smaller al fresco on our side with bigger interior space.
2 solar panels for the hot water system
this shot shows the big slope of the land our houses are on. the west side of our house is set to the extreme left of our land (to maximize the eastern space).. you can clearly see that our concrete slab is about a foot higher than our neighbors. similarly we would be lower than our eastern neighbor (when he finally decides to build). this means we'd probably have to spend money to fill our surrounding area with soil plus build retaining walls all around to keep the earth in.
we are catching up!
lost and found inside the lounge room. haha.
